The Foundation was created in 1996 and serves Yellowstone Conference churches, camps and agencies. It is a non-profit tax exempt organization registered in Montana. forest

Our Foundation has Certification of Inclusion in the United Methodist Church Group Tax Exemption Ruling as an Affiliate Organization and is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are insured under the conference insurance policy and our books are reviewed annually by an independent auditor.

The Yellowstone Foundation exists for the sole purpose of supporting conference churches, agencies and members in the area of planned giving and stewardship. Generosity Team members are available to churches starting a year round stewardship program or to facilitate group discussion around personal finance management. We are available to churches working on a long term plan for ministry and sustainability. We are also available to members who wish to vision and create a legacy through a planned gift or bequest.

The Foundation partners with our conference camps, committees and boards to support the connection. Our Board member nominations are approved by the Annual Conference.
